Aligning Social Justice and Faith with Daphne Walker-Thoth

Saturday Jun 27, 2020
My interview today with Daphne Walker-Thoth is another in a series of conversations I've recorded with people of color about their experiences. You'll notice that during this conversation I sometimes have difficulty even knowing how to ask some questions. I've chosen to leave the interview unedited so that my listeners can hear what it sounds like to have raw - and sometimes messy - conversations.
Daphne is a retired substance abuse counselor emeritus. Before recently retiring, she devoted more than 20 years to helping awaken faith organizations to the anguish and despair of social injustice. Twelve years ago, she spoke at the White House as a panelist on the role of faith organizations in addressing social service issues.
